Terms of use
A safe place to pray.
These terms apply when you use the Covered app or website, a personal, non-commercial project run by the Covered team in Western Australia, Australia. By using Covered, you agree to them.
Who can use Covered
You must be 13 or older to use Covered.
What you can post
- Post only what is true.
- Never post anything illegal, including any content that sexualizes a minor.
- Don’t include information that identifies you or someone else, such as full names, addresses or phone numbers.
- Don’t use requests to harass, threaten, advertise, fundraise or spread hate.
We may remove any request at any time, without giving a reason. Removal can’t be undone, and the person who posted it isn’t told. Illegal content is reported where the law requires. An account that breaks these terms may be closed. If you see something that shouldn’t be there, tap Report on the request in the app.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a request, you let us display it (without your name) on the globe and in the feed, and translate it so others can pray for you. Requests are deleted a year after they’re posted.
A request posted without an account belongs to no one. It can’t be closed or deleted afterwards, unless you saved it to an account on the screen right after posting.
Prayer is not professional help
Covered is a community of people praying for each other. It is not a crisis service, and nobody watches the app for people in danger. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health advice. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services. Free helplines by country are listed at findahelpline.com.
The service
Covered is currently in beta through Apple TestFlight, so features may change and things may occasionally break. Nobody is promised that the app will always be available, or that someone will pray for a given request. We provide Covered “as is” and, to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. You can stop using Covered and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
